Adoption Narnia

Getting started in the adoption process feels a little bit like opening a wardrobe and finding Narnia inside. In some ways it feels like we've stepped into a whole new world that requires open mindedness, flexibility, new perspectives, new skills, and lots of training. But amidst the intimidation of the newness is wonder and excitement! We quickly learned we needed extra help navigating the process so we hired Christian Adoption Consultants (CAC), an organization that guides adoptive parents through the process. Whenever we have any questions we just ask Susan, our consultant, and she sends resources or answers our way. It's all been a lot to take in, but CAC does a great job breaking it down into conquerable steps.  There are no fawns, lions or white witches in our "Narnia",  but it's still all turning out to be quite an adventure- one that only grows in excitement and will last the rest of our lives!
